Midnight Sun in Lofoten
June 2, 2026 · Photography
Spent two weeks in the Lofoten archipelago this May. The midnight sun is disorienting at first — you lose track of time completely. But for photography, it's magical. Six hours of golden hour stretching from 10 PM to 4 AM.
Shot mostly on Fujifilm X-T5 with the 16-55mm f/2.8. The coastal light bouncing off the granite peaks creates this soft, almost pastel palette that I've never seen anywhere else.

Building a self-hosted photo pipeline
May 15, 2026 · Tech
After years of relying on cloud services that keep changing their terms, I finally built a fully self-hosted workflow: Capture One for editing, Syncthing for sync, and a custom Python script that generates responsive galleries from RAW exports.
The script handles WebP conversion, lazy loading, and generates static HTML. No JavaScript frameworks, no build steps. Just clean, fast pages. Source is on my GitHub if anyone is curious.

Spring cycling in Gotland
April 28, 2026 · Travel
Gotland in late April is empty. The tourist season hasn't started, the sheep are everywhere, and the limestone landscapes feel almost lunar. Cycled 180km over four days, staying in small guesthouses.
Highlight: the sea stacks at Langhammar at sunrise. Completely alone, just the sound of gulls and waves. Worth the 5 AM alarm.
